My experience is when learning something new it takes time for your mind and body to get used to routines and excersises which have not been experienced before. Don&#039;t be too hard on yourself , persevere it will all come together with practice and in time.  if struggling have a break and come back fresh to make further progress . Further, it is much  better to learn a technique or piece of music slowly and in small stages , to nail each part perfectly before moving on to the next section. This gives you a much more solid grounding  and stops you from developing bad habits and learning things wrong .

Small steps become strides as you travel through the learning and most importantly have fun !
